"I was introduced to Saigon Maxim five years ago and its probably my favourite cuisine restaurant in all of Calgary. They are generally packed Monday to Friday over the lunch hour. My favourite is the #85 satay chicken. You can taste the freshness in...the onions, the protein, the sauce the crunch of the slightly cooked peppers. I routinely drive 45 km one way across the city to taste this awesome food. Big thumbs up."

"One those places that has a very good menu with variety. If you are very adventurous and like to try new things. This restaurant will satisfy your curiousity. It looks like it could do with a minor interiour design upgrade but that is part of its charm. The staff were patient with me and explain everything I was asking questions about. I found this place walking around the area. I was staying at the Delta South Marriott and decide to take a stroll around the area. This was maybe 15-20 minutes walking distance from the hotel."

"Sunshine VR is tucked away in a little strip mall in Lake Bonavista. With so many Vietnamese restaurants around the city, it's really important to find one that has great food. Sunshine VR is the place. It has a typical little dining room if you want to eat in, or else, has a quick 15-20 minute turn around for take out. Prices are good and portions big."

"Went here New Years Eve & got some take out. We ordered a bunch of food we ordered the grilled pork dumplings $8.50, prawn salad rolls $3.95, Satay chicken pho $9.50 & Vermicelli with Lemongrass Prawns $9.75. The food was very sub par the satay chicken pho's broth was pretty bland the salad rolls we actually got the wrong order got the chicken salad rolls instead of the prawns & the chicken was very dry. My wife said the vermicelli dish was ok & the dumplings where ok but nothing special. I would recommend going somewhere else there are some very good Vietnamese restaurants in the area."

"Every time we're in Calgary we try to hit Trung Nguyen's for our satay sub fix. I always get the chicken satay and Cherie gets the beef satay. I've tried other Vietnamese subs and they don't compare. The right amount of spice, nice crispy bun and crisp veggies. If you want a little extra spice, keeps the hot peppers. The owners are super friendly and always have a smile on their faces. Why not? They make fantastic subs!"

"Great Canadian Chinese food. I tried the Palace Style Chicken (which is spicy and sweet so a bit like General Tso's), the deep fried squid, and the hot and sour soup. Everything was fresh and tasty and really good. The lady at the cash was friendly. I recommend this place. I saw they also serve Canadian breakfasts! I might have to come back for that!"

"Pleasantly Surprised. We tried this place for the first time recently. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and was reasonably priced. The Tom Yum soup was especially good. We will be ordering more from here for sure!"
