"My husband and I were in search of a pre-mother's day dinner and had been turned away from four other completely full restaurants in the area. We pulled out our phone and googled nearby restaurants and decided to try this one. Boy are we glad we did!The outside of the restaurant could use some work. The sign is old and dirty, there is a broken down car with a tarp on it being stored right in front, the windows are dirty and filmy making it hard to see inside.HOWEVER, inside the restaurant is clean and tidy. The tables are new and have sunken induction burners installed with individual controls, so that eat eater at the table has a safe place for their own pot of broth. There are four broth choices and we tried the Tom Yum and Spicy broths. Both amazingly flavourful and we couldn't get enough. There is a cold buffet with a bounty of frozen meats, seafood and vegetarian options. There is a fresh buffet for noodles and vegetables. Eat as much as you can cook in your pot of broth over the night. Additional broth is just $5.My husband and I spoke to each other very little over the course of our meal, other than to offer each other a bite of something amazing or to just say yum. The staff were super helpful, being that we were the only Caucasians in the place, providing us with how to's and good food choices to try. I can't wait to come back with our children. Bangkok Hot Pot exceeded our expectations."

"This is our new favorite restaurant in Edmonton. Tasty food and friendly service. The fact that it is vegan is a bonus and non vegans wouldn’t even notice. They have the best Ramen that I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back next time...we are in the city!"

"We were staying nearby and needed something close and quick to eat. This restaurant did meet our needs in that way. We had the meat and veggie fried rice (we wish there had been more veg but it was otherwise okay) and the ginger beef. The ginger beef was served with sauce on the side, and without the sauce, the meat would have been much too dry. With the sauce, it was palatable, but nothing to write home about. Portions were generous. They offer only take-out service, which is a good thing, as there are several homeless services very nearby, making it a hard sell as a sit-down place to eat. And on top of all that, there's a huge construction project going on outside the restaurant, so it was a bit difficult to get to."

"I've never been in this restaurant but my friend told me she had noodles there and it was good so we decided to order in. They have their menu online and we decided to get the Dinner for 2 which include chicken fried rice, beef with mixed veggies (celery, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli and cabbage), choice of spring rolls, egg roll or green onion cake (we got 4 spring rolls), and then you choose an entrée and we picked sweet and sour pork. The price is $13.95/person so we were short a few dollars to get free delivery (within 6 km) so I added the black bean beef and rice noodles for $10.95.The man who took my order wasn't the friendliest but efficient as the order arrived within 30 minutes and correct. There was a lot of food to last a few meals. The rice and noodles were filled to the top of the rectangular containers and the round take out tins were also filled well.The food taste and quality was good and better than another take out place we've tried. Would order from them again and next time try the chow mein and a seafood dish."

"I ordered pick up dinner for chicken fried rice, sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken, beef broccoli. Apparently there is no msg and the food was delicious. I would order take out or delivery from here again in the future happily. I wouldnt plan...to eat in the restaurant. It doesnt have a lot of ambience and maybe they were short staffed but people were waiting for their bills with dirty dishes etc while the staff ran around. The staff were super friendly though and kept a smile on although they were running from one customer to the next. Overall great take out Chinese place in northeast Edmonton!"

"I specifically wanted to go here after having looked for Vietnamese places on TripAdvisor., as I love that cuisine and we unfortunately don't have a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in Cape Town. First little disappointment was that we were looking for a relaxed sit-down lunch, with some wine ideally, and at Hoang Long it's more a fast food style place you have to stand in a line then order yourself and you get buzzed when it's ready, grab a drink from the fridge and of you go. Obviously not their fault, just our misunderstanding. It was just after the main Canadian lunch time (we tend to go a bit later for lunch than the locals, not before 1pm so the place looked like a bomb had just exploded and we struggled a bit to find a clear table. I eventually found one that I cleared myself, but the table was covered in sticky soy or fish sauce or whatever and it wasn't too easy to attract the not overly friendly waitress if she could please give me a cloth to clean the table (at no point did she consider this should maybe be her job, not mine, but never mind, I just wanted to sit down The nearby washroom provided me with paper towels and water in the end (if I would have waited for the waitress to come to our help I would probably still have been sitting there waiting... , so table cleared and cleaned....eventually our food was ready, but unfortunately, that of my husband's (who was already not too impressed with the place so far , spicy beef on jasmine rice, was cold. He couldn't be bothered to bring it back so just had two bites. My seafood soup was nice be it a bit bland so I had to add a lot of soy sauce to give it some taste, but that can obviously just be a personal thing. I was planning to come back for the Vietnamese spring rolls, but unfortunately didn't make it any more before my departure so that will have to wait til next time."

"I've been here many times and have NEVER been dissatisfied. Coco the lead reception/ Server is absolutely the best and knows the menu inside out. I have to say your pallet will sizzle with delight on any item you would try. This is the best place for Asian food. The blended fusion and spices are delicately fused to make you want to come here again. I can't say enough about this awesome place."
