"For a pub bistro it was very good value. Ordered the basic rump steak, mushroom sauce, medium, with mash n veggies. Was with a large group of friends and we were all impressed with the service and quality of meal. My steak was perfectly cooked, very tasty mushroom sauce and good size serving."

"Ordered our pizzas last night and noted that I had coeliac disease for my gluten free pizza. I wish I got the name of the girl who served us, because she was lovely. They take good care of their customers and I'm putting a recommendation into the Australian Coeliac Disease support group for locals and travellers. Thank you. Delicious pizza and wonderful caring service."

"Three of us went for dinner last week whilst we were visiting from the Gold Coast. Was on the recommendation of a local. A more up market style of dining inside a pub. A dining area which is quiet was on one side of the bar but we chose the Bar Menu food and sat nearer to the live music (which was nice but a little loud..but that's pubs in Oz).We chose the calamari with aioli (battered) which my friend only ate about 3 pieces of. My sister chose the steak (a scotch fillet I think) which came with chips and a herb butter (no other sauces available so don't ask for the usual gravy, mushroom, pepper, etc). She said it was cooked well to her liking but the butter tasted of seafood for some reason. I chose the smaller dish of ribs - 2 decent size ones in a sticky bbq style sauce which were lovely. My dish was the winner of our table. Service was great and the 3 marghueritas were done spot on. A great bartender."

"I've been here a few times and like their menu and coffees. Breakfast ranges from plain toast to full cooked breakfast, and the banana bread is delicious. They also make a good decaf coffee! Service is fast and friendly."

"Had orded takeaway for me and my hubby and iam sorry but i was better off going to coles and buying some packet pasta because atlease i know i would have cooked it properly.The food was also tasteless and when i placed my order the lady was very rude and when i came too pick the food up the italian chef was swearing and throwing pans sorry guys we wont be back"

"We used to travel an hour to restaurant for tapas until we got recommended Purple Hayes. This place is fantastic and has the added bonus of being 5 minutes from where we live. World class quality tapas, excellent menu and friendly service. The chef at this restaurant is great and also very innovative. He is constantly coming up with excellent tapas options that are creative and tasty. They also have a themed night once a week each month, and this month is American. If you book ahead, you get a free jug of Sangria too. We are there at least once a week. Usually on a Thursday night as they have free BYO for locals. An excellent place to eat."
