"Went mid-week as working in the area. It is quiet in the restaurant, but has steady flow of takeaways also coming through so took it to be very popular. It is BYO, so handy that a good bottle shop is just across the road! Was greeted by very hospitable and polite young man, and shown to table. Menu is very extensive (pages and pages!) I ordered my normal Lamb Jalfrezi, as always do the first time in a new restaurant, with the usual collection of bread, rice and side dish!Popadoms and dip delivered, and as I was travelling alone, it was nice that the staff took time to talk about the food and city, and even a bit about themselves.Food was delicious, hot (as in temp), flavoursome and there was a lot of meat. Spiciness was as I had asked (medium in Indian terms, hot in English terms :-) ).I will definitely return, just so I can try some of their specials, even the vegetarian options looked fantastic! Only thing I would ask is to change from a popadum dip to tray of dips & pickles. I asked for Lime Pickle, which arrived with my main course, it was very tasty but best with popadums.Thank you for making me feel so welcome and the wonderful food."

"Atmosphere was fun & friendly & as always food & service was impeccable. Staff are very friendly & for those with children, it's a child friendly restaurant!!! Price wise as for seafood it's reasonable, if some of you don't eat fish there is meat & they will also cater if you are vegetarian!!!"

"It is my first time eating at an Afghan restaurant and I would definately come back. The interior was beautifully designed and made me feel I had been transported out of Dandenong ! The staff were polite and quick to service. The food was not...too spicy for me and was very tasty (as I am a spice baby and can't eat anything too hot). This is a nice change from eating Indian as it is a bit lighter but still very filling."

"I don't like writing negative reviews, but after I was violently ill, I had to write that. Went to Turbo Chinese as hungry after work. The place is in a very depressed group of shops and needs a spruce. It's a Chinese farewell, but it has 3 tables, so I decided to eat. Ordered a short soup, special fried rice and pineapple frit and ice cream. The lady who served customers was nice and friendly and the prices are cheap. But the food wasn't good. Everything was served in plastic containers. My soup was very oily and had no taste. The fried rice was extremely dry and I had to ask for soy sauce to add taste. The pineapple fritter was given to me in a plastic container seperately from the ice cream and a few caramel toppings, which were frozen together firmly and indelibly. I couldn't eat it because it had a strange smell and taste. Very disappointed about the food, but went home with some bangers for a snack. A few hours later, I woke up with a stomachache and brought up my whole meal. I don't like being sick and I'm sorry, but I can't eat anything from Turbo Chinese."

"This is one of those places that I've walked past a number of times, particularly since it is at the entrance to Melbourne Central, but haven't got around to checking out until recently. I have to admit that it didn't really grab me all that much, though I can't really put my finger on why. The service wasn't the best, and there didn't seem to be a huge range of beers on tap, at least not to have the title of 'Pan-Asian Beer Bar'. Sure, it is located in a really convenient location, but it's not a place that I'd be drawn to all that much."
