"If you want to immerse yourself in a photographic history of Huaraz while enjoying food items that are genuinely Peruvian go here. Our Peruvian host took us there for lunch. We enjoyed a couple of local specialties (all vegan plus a fish item that is somewhere between calamari and beef jerky! There were lots of different sauces to try too. The food is unusual and while I don’t think any gringos would find it objectionable I doubt it will become a favorite of many of us either. I particularly enjoyed all the photos that the owner has accumulated over the years. They provide an intriguing insight into the history of Huaraz, its culture and its people. The prices are extremely reasonable."

"Recommended by galaxia hotel and was great. Had grilled chicken with rice and salad. Watched other dishes and envious we won't be back to try more! Great valueand family owners. Don't be put off by empty dining tables if you arrive early - they all filled up - glad we were early."

"Had to request menu after waiting 5 mins after arriving at a quiet time. Had ceviche and lomo saltado. Ceviche lacked any kind of citrus punch and was generally a bit bland. Then tto top it off we had to wait another 10 mins for the lomo saltado to come out when it was given to th e person at the next table who naturally started eating it. On realising their mistake they brought the already started meal back to the kitchen, changed plates and brought out the now rapidly cooling and not quite full dish out with a meagre apology. For the price it was an horrific waste of money. Avoid is my advice"

"Had the grilled chicken that was a massive portion for the price. Repent the last weeks on the coast and paid the same for a tiny part of the chicken. Pages and sauces went well with it. Plan further back for the pizza, as it looked amazing every time you went by. Only a disadvantage they forgot our garlic bread, but we hoped they forgot when we were too full. My partner got a pasta they also enjoyed"

"That was a surprise from my trip to Huaraz. The crepes are tasteful and the gelatos are within the best I have tried. The place is charming and the service can hardly be better. This is a must for anyone visiting Huaraz. If you go for a tour, wait until you come back to Huaraz to eat."
