"J'ai été un peu déçu de leur pizza. J'ai commandé pour apporter à la maison une pizza 15 po. "all-dress" . Lorsque je suis arrivé à la maison, première déception...j'ai ouvert la boîte et j'ai été surpris par l'allure de la pizza. Le fromage avec brûlé quelque peu. Lorsque l'on y a goûté, deuxième déception...on a été déçu de retrouver des champignons en boîte dedans au lieu des champignons frais. Troisième déception...il n'y avait que très peu de piment vert dedans ! Par contre, je dois admettre que le goût de la pizza est très bonne (dû à la sauce). Ça faisait longtemps que nous n'y avions pas goûté et nous en sommes très déçu !"

"Samedi matin, 10h15. Rapidement nous sommes assis dans une atmosphère correcte et sans énervement. Pas salle comble, mais juste OK, les 3 serveuses sont en contrôle. On nous sert le café en 10 minutes ainsi que le chocolat chaud des enfants (tout à fait raisonnable)... le seul hic est que ça prendra 45 minutes pour le réchauffer et que bien entendu, les enfants n'ont plus rien à boire lorsqu'ils reçoivent leurs plats. Mais bon, revenons un peu en arrière.10 minutes après le café, une seconde serveuse prend notre commande. Au moment où l'un d'entre-nous commande la fameuse "Poutine déjeuner" (qui est excellente), une demande spéciale est faite: remplacer les œufs brouillés par deux œufs tournés sur la Poutine. Plusieurs restaurants le font et ce n'est somme toute pas une demande déraisonnable. La serveuse acquiesce et mentionne qu'elle demandera au cuisinier. Mais pour faire une histoire courte, ce dernier refuse. Il en a le droit... tout comme pour la personne qui a fait la demande de refuser de commander/manger dans ce cas.Bref, c'est le cuisinier qui décide. Et qui plus est, le café a été chargé au prix régulier (aucun refill). Mme Dubé est cependant une serveuse exceptionnelle car elle a tenté de récupérer la situation grâce à sa gentillesse. Coq Roti: Nous allons dans votre restaurant 5 fois par année, toujours 10-12 personnes (factures variant de 120$ à 250$ dépendamment du repas). Dans un contexte où la compétition est féroce, peut-être faudrait-il rappeler aux cuisiniers que 3 minutes de plus pour un plat peuvent rapporter gros au final. Mais peut-être que ce sont eux qui dirigent le restaurant..."

"Nous avons choisi le restaurant Côté Jardin de cet hôtel pour fêter la Saint-Valentin car ils annonçaient dans le journal leur menu spécial avec un Châteaubriand comme plat principal. Nous adorons ce mets. Nous en commandons un bien cuit et un médium. Les plats arrivent et nous constatons que la cuisson est la même pour les deux, bien cuit. La serveuse s'est empressée de rapporter mon assiette et cette fois-ci c'était la bonne cuisson. Malheureusement, les deux Châteaubriands ont été cuits sur des grilles sales et noircies ce qui donne une viande qui goûte le brûlé car elle est pleine de morceaux noirs sur le dessus. Tout le monde sait que c'est malsain et cancérigène. De plus, les assiettes sont froides, donc, la nourriture refroidit très rapidement. Dans un grand restaurant, ce sont ces petites attentions qui font qu'on y retourne ou pas! Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant."

"Naturally, the tastes are not to discuss but the pizza of this establishment is really excellent. The crunchy cheese and sauce make it its reputation. When I'm outside for a long time, I can't wait to come back to pay for their pizza. I can't make a judgment on the rest of the menu, but the pizza is worth the trip. a single small negative point is the capacity of the restaurant, approx. 75 people at max. the smallness of the place is sometimes disturbing being close to each other.Despite this point, I highly recommend this restaurant especially.for their pizza!"

"We found ourselves in the Saguenay region when this year we found our 20th. Anniversary celebrated and had a time to find something worthy of the opportunity during Covid, in this non-so-urban area. After some research we discovered the Auberge Villa Pachon. Our special dinner... there was the best decision of the year! The delicious menu online attracted us and the terrain full of charming sealed the deal. We booked well in advance during this terrible pandemic and arrived just like things were blowing up with the second wave. Other places canceled our reservations, but we sighed with relief when our booking remained honored. We moved to an empty car park on Wednesday night and feared the worst (many places did not give notice of closures and simply locked their doors). Fortunately, we entered a safe but friendly welcome from the owner. She led us to the charming historical dining room, oozing with sophistication and warmth, and sat at the table of our choice. We have our favorite delicacies from foie gras, to duck, to game and other hearty delights. The wine list was as impressive as we paired each course with a beautiful vintage after the other. The dessert was delicious and personalized to our special opportunity to take an incomparable meal, from soup to nuts. The most memorable part of this fabulous experience was the service. Our heart went to this couple and tried to run a business for which they all worked their lives during this pandemic. My husband is a cook, so we know that the difficult challenges of 2020 have dealt with the hospitality industry in particular. Despite all the challenges, the beautiful woman served us with ease, sincerity and unbelievable kindness (massified and socially as far as possible). Her husband prepared a meal for a king and finally greeted us with his good wishes. Both were mainly Francophone and we Anglophon, but we muddled together with a delightful exchange never-the-less. It was the cherry on the top of the proverbial cake! This culinary experience was one of our most unforgettable nights. It reminds us that when things go wrong, there are really good people in this world who do everything to make it right... even for complete strangers. At the end of our meal they gave us a quick tour through the facilities and we regretted that we had not discovered this beautiful local jewel before we book our accommodation. If you are ever in jurisdiction somewhere, we recommend you book this as your home base for the region – you will thank your lucky stars you did!"
