"We arrived at about noon, the waitress welcomed us and at our request she prepared a table on the seasite terrace. We ordered soup of the day, a local fish soup 3/5, as starter we choose Octopus 4/5 and my wife went for the maincourse for the grilled rock fish 4/5, I ordered grilled baracuda 5/5. Dessert: Local beancake 4/5, drinks: green tea 3/5 and espresso 5/5. Note: the rockfish itself was very fine but the kitchen didn't spread out the salt equally over the fish, so some parts were far to salty, other parts were fine. We believe this reataurant is a very good place for fresh fish lovers. The fishermans port is just in front!"

"Nice and quiet view on the bay (public pool in front, can be loud is pool is full?!)Service is heart fell by owner with nice cheese board as a starter. There is no menu card and the "captain" is service and cooking all alone which might make the whole thing a bit slow. As it was a quiet evening we really enjoyed and Captain took time for a small talk.Recommended dish: local rice-fish pan. Served in a big pot and full of seafood in a red sauce with rice (little sharp)Dessert is pineapple cake made by grantmother of the owner. Very nice!"

"Just had lunch here today, 1/23/17. Pulled in on a whim after a wonderful hike. Freshly made cheese with pepper sauce, fresh bread, grilled squid, potatoes, salad, Azorian white wine, and capuchino, much more than I could eat, for 15 euros. This is authentic home cooking, served by the owner and cooked by his mother. All fresh, all good."

"My wife and I have just returned from a stay at HPB, Rocha Brava for a fortnight. We ate at Rustic on our second night and enjoyed it so much that we returned for a further 3 visits during our stay. I can only describe the food, particularly the main courses, as absolutely superb. The Pork in pepper sauce and Duck breast in red berry sauce were the highlights but everything we ate was extremely good. Plus excellent house wine, friendly and efficient service and weather so good that we able to eat outside on the terrace on every occasion. We will return to Rocha Brava in 2018 and we hope that Rustic is still as good then as it is now. Far, far better than other restaurants nearby such as Julio's, Rocha Mar and Jardim O Farol that have all been reviewed favourably byTrip Advisor"

"Located by the pool at Roch Brava resort, comfortable surroundings. Menu a little limited (not as much choice as shown on the outside menu) but all meals very nice. Most of the mains were 20 plus euros, so not the cheapest place to eat, but...a good meal on the whole."

"The entrance is really not appealing but the other courtyard is nice and the food very good. We were both amazed by the quality of it. In addition to this you can see the owners are people that really enjoin what they are doing and are super kind. If you are in Lagoa this is probably the best place to go."
