"An absolutely gem of a restaurant. The food was amazing and service exceptional. I had the table d'hote which consisted of the house salad, halibut main and dessert. The halibut was perfectly cooked. For dessert I had the lemon poppy seed almond flour cake with Blueberry coulis. Omg this was just so decadent and not overly sweet. My husband had the sweet potato soup and the salmon. He also enjoyed his meal very much. Our server was very pleasant and friendly. My husband loves history so got into talking about the history of the building the restaurant is housed in and our server, being ever so friendly, took the time to chat with us about the house. We had a wonderful evening at would definitely visit the restaurant again. Thank you for a great experience Bistro 1843."

"Excellent déjeuners! Crêpes aux fruits WOW! Déjeuner le St Jean. Oeufs choix de viande , cretons, fèves aux lard , patates rissollées ou pilées (ou les deux). Pain grillé et une crêpe pour 10:50$ Très bon service aussi. Belle terrasse à l'extérieur.Spécial avant 8:30 Je recommande ce resto!"
