"This place looked sad before we even got in. two waiters stood outside on the counter and did not smile, as we demanded one table for two, although we were the second group of customers who showed up. it was lit, not in an intimate way, but rather like a way to save electricity. the menu was huge, but didn't seem like it was fresh in view of the low conversion rate. when we decided to order the vegetarian curry sampler, the waitress appeared confused and uncertain what it is that we ordered and whether it would be available at all. She went long to ask about it, and we thought that this was not a good sign. So we stopped leaving the ship and eating somewhere else. At the same time, she finally returned and seemed disappointed that we had gone after the attempt to order something. we have politely rejected her offer to stay, and we have her angry mother something in a non-English language and throw a menu. what a terrible place. avoid them at all costs."

"Yoshinoya is a Japanese fast food restaurant known for its beef bowls. Directly translated as Yoshi's shop, since Yoshi is a name, no indicates possession, and ya means shop This place has an area downstairs where you can order food to-go when you're in a hurry but if not, I suggest you visit the second floor shop. Once you make your way up, you'll appreciate the bright orange color that adorns the interiors of the restaurant, in my opinion, it has a cute vibe to it I then ordered the Beef Misono meal. It's a rice bowl with Sukiyaki beef cuts. That's how we call these slices of meat in my former job, but not sure if it's a common term for it....read more"

"Taste buds blown away by wafu ramen. At first I thought it tasted weird because it had this "fishy" taste but after a few more slurps I was hooked by its unique taste. The base is a mix of pork, beef and fish broths that works perfectly with each other. This is now on my top ramen place here in makati!"

"Big big fan of Japanese food! The only downside is that it can be a bit expensive. While it applies to most of the Japanese restaurants I know (except Tokyo Tokyo), Yamazaki is proof that Japanese cuisine can be cheap yet authentic. Yamazaki is a hole in the wall restaurant in Little Tokyo Makati. It looks like a restaurant outside, but when you step inside its doors you will be surprised that the first thing you would see is the grocery store that sells Japanese products. <br> <br> What I like about the hotel is that it serves good Japanese food with huge portions but for a cheaper price. I think it has something to do with the cost of the interior (design of the whole) so it's not as expensive as the others. <br> <br> I love the food and everything about it, but what I don't like is the ambience and other waitresses who are a bit "rude". All in all, everything is more than ok ????"

"We had their best seller hainanese yellow chicken and it was quite bland and not up to par with my expectations (given that it was quite expensive), but thank God for their Cashew Coffee Spare ribs I still managed to enjoy my dining experience. It was the right mix of flavor and was worth the wait and the money."

"Wagyu Japanese Beef is a small 2-storey restaurant reminiscent of small eateries in Japan. As the name suggests, they specialize in wagyu beef. We looked through the menu and decided to order the Chuckroll Kagoshima Beef (P1,270 for 100g). We chose to have the beef grilled.<br> <br> The beef was sliced and grilled on a hot stone slab along with onions, carrots, and okra.<br> We wanted it well done and that was exactly what we got. Some chili powder and 3 kinds of salt was placed on our table — plum salt, lime salt, and pepper salt. They were for seasoning the beef. The wagyu beef was heavenly but really, it’s way too expensive at almost P1.3k for 100 grams.&nbsp;<br> <br> We each had a bowl of Angus Gyudon (P250). Whoa, now this is the best gyudon bowl I’ve tried in Metro Manila so far! The beef is really tender and subtly flavorful. You just want to keep eating. They even serve a bit of extra sauce on the side so you can dip the meat. Yum! If the wagyu beef is out of the budget... <a class="read-more" href="#">read more</a>"

"Earlier today I had lunch with friends at the Wagner German Bakery. We ordered the currywurst, the chicken schnitzel and a pretzel for me. I have to say these dishes are really, really hearty - they are very satisfying, indeed! <br> <br> I had the pretzel as a starter and it didn't disappoint! Mine was a little tougher today than usual, but I'll let it happen - I just like it so much! <br> <br> I especially liked the potato salad next to the schnitzel - tangy and with a little spicy kick. I just wish the chicken was a little less cooked - mine was a little overcooked, and while it was crispy it was a bit chewy and a bit difficult to cut. <br> <br> The currywurst was excellent and I was very happy with it - and so were my friends! <br> <br> Overall, apart from the little bits and pieces, the experience was extremely satisfactory! Would definitely come back here again! <br> <br> P.S. I very much hope to meet Mr. Angelo Wagner soon. I would really like to know more about his restaurant."

"You can't help but fall in love with the simplicity and the humble interior of this restaurant. It's small and quite hidden, a perfect getaway with your friends or maybe even your relatives whenever you're into some warm, cosy meals at very reasonable prices. Despite the odd but extremely popular reputation of vegan food being soulless and bland, Wabi Sabi, like many other vegan/vegetarian restaurant nowadays, is anything but.<br> <br> We arrived at Wabi Sabi at about 8:20pm after a long walk. We weren't familiar with the place so we had to ask around.<br> <br> NOTE: Upon asking for directions, just mention The Collective and when you get there, just ask some of the waitresses to get to Wabi Sabi. You'll pass by the comfort rooms and then at the very straight end, you'll find Wabi Sabi beside Juicesabel (Another vegan/vegetarian restaurant that I ought to try next time) on the right side.<br> <br> I ordered the Banh Mi and Mushroom Shumai while my cousin, who wasn't a vegan, ordered the... <a class="read-more" href="#">read more</a>"

"We are definitely coming for the unlimited Wagyu and other offers. My personal favorite are the prawns and scallops. They serve everything frozen and you have 90 minutes to order and cook everything. <br> <br> * Per tip. Ask one of the staff to do the cooking and fanning for you (yes, you need to fan the coals to cook faster). But be ready to tip the staff. I give 200 pesos. It's not that bad considering how much time you save and of course, you can really enjoy your food. <br> <br> And since the staff who serve us don't leave our table (with the exception of our usual order runs) I had the opportunity to ask them about the ingredients. The Wagyu is ground meat, frozen and cut into square shapes (I know, right? But tasty nonetheless). The shrimp and other seafood are also flown in from Japan frozen. I can't distract myself why the prawns taste different than what we usually buy in the market. It's definitely sweeter and tastier without the sauce. My partner told me that the fishing boats in Japan are more advanced and have a freezer to freeze the seafood immediately after catching it to keep it fresh. I don't know how true, but his face was very serious. Their shrimp are seasonal too. <br> <br> <br> <br>"
