"We had dinner in the Longhouse. For entre we had Coconut prawns with dipping sauces they were magnificant, for mains we ordered Mushroom pasta and Thai vegitarian curry. We also ordered a bottle of red wine. Unfortunately the wine was on the higher side of the price range. When the meals arrived, the Mushroom pasta dish was substantial, the pasta was perfect and the flavours were very nice, however the lack of mushrooms was disappointing. Also the sauce was on the heavy side. The dish was unable to be finished, so big needed more mushrooms and less pasta. The Thai curry was half a bowl of steamed rice just globbed onto the plate with a very small amount of vegetables and sauce. It tasted Ok, but I did have a laugh with 2 (indian) poppadoms on the side. At $19 for the pasta and $18 for the Thai dish, we feel it was overpriced and disappointing. The bar service was fine, polite and friendly. The Longhouse is very open to the elements and a cold windy night would be very unpleasant. Luckily our night was fine, however there were a lot of night flying bugs around. We will not rush back."
