"I've been here several times and tried a few other things and they were OK, but nothing special, but this is just about the best steak that I've had anywhere in Argentina. Order medium-rare ("a punto menos uno") and make sure they understand - there always seems to be some confusion. For under 90 pesos (currently about $9 at the free-market exchange rate) you get 2 large (approx 200g each) very thick (6cm) slices of fillet wrapped in bacon topped with a very rich and delicious mushroom sauce, which must be made from the very tasty Chilean dried mushrooms not the usual very bland "champinons" from a tin can. The guarnacion is "papas mil hojas" a tasty sliced potato cake. Don't expect any fresh green vegetables this is Argentina after all..! My 5-star rating is only for this meal and is not representative of the restaurant as a whole. Other good features of this restaurant are the location, and the many outside tables at street level and the 1st floor balcony. The wine list is also very reasonably priced."

"Fairly new (1 yr), Italian-owned, and in a peaceful location near the old (restored) train station, a good distance from the other Costanera restaurants. Pleasant corner location with several outside tables on a wide pavement. The pizza was better than the average but the outer edge was crunchy rather than puffy, as I prefer them. As for the pastas - Ravioli Portofino (leek sauce), Gnocchi Mandioca, and Tagliatelle Portofino (calamari and prawns) were all superb, much better than the usual bland Argentine pasta offerings, although at either 48 or 60 pesos more expensive. The menu also has a few meat dishes. Freshly baked bread is served with a tasty pate. The wine list is limited and some were not in stock. I have already been twice and am definitely returning soon."
