"We arrived late to our hotel and the hotel restaurant was closed. They recommended L’European. When we arrived we were greeted by Azzedine. He was so nice and walked us through the menu. Food was good but service was even better. Thank you Azzedine!"

"This is just a little place on a side street near Bastille, but the Middle Eastern food is good and inexpensive. We had been traveling all day, just returning to our apartment (rented for the week) and decided to stop in because we saw the picture of the gyro rotisserie outside and wanted something quick and tasty. The owner greeted us and while we tried to order in French, he accommodated our English and made up two complete plates with the gyros, tzatziki sauce, a large fresh green salad and the obligatory french fries. The pita bread was fresh and delicious, the salad was tasty, and the fries were crisp and hot. All this for less than the cost of a single plate in most of the local places. Open til midnight except on Sunday, we'll go back again before we leave."

"Ne vous fiez pas aux apparences ! Petite façade presque banale mais à l'intérieur "LE PAYS BASQUE" vous y attend ! Je rentre pour prendre un petit noir(il est 9H00) et je vois le Patron qui épluche lui-même les légumes du plat du jour. Une image qui devient hélas rare et annonciatrice d'une CUISINE FAITE MAISON comme il se devrait être dans tous les restaurants de France ?; Aujourd'hui c'est "TETE de VEAU"; je me dis qu'il est sage de réserver ma table dés maintenant car ce Plat bien particulier attire toujours les gourmets les plus avertis. Me voilà donc de retour à 12H30 au sein de cette "toute petite Brasserie-Basque". Bien vite, la Serveuse, avec le sourire et beaucoup de diplomatie, refuse du monde. Que vous dire ? que la sauce gribiche à elle seule mérite le déplacement. Le Patron-Chef se permet d'y mettre du piment d’Espelette, avec un art parfaitement maîtrisé. Ses pommes de Terre et Carottes sont d'une "tendresse" sidérante. Bref c'est du Sérieux. En dessert le "Gâteau Basque" est de la même veine. Le prix: 14 Euros avec le dessert. Pichet de vin Basque à 5 euros!!! Vite une visite s'impose. (Didier-Edouard)"

"I had been run the first time, despite that I returned. I took the Iberian burger with a glass of wine. The meat was cooked as I wanted, ham and good cheese, accompanied by homemade fries? a salad and a sauce apart. "They had a quite extensive menu and the teriyaki salmon was really great for me. If they could fill the sauce, I would buy it. the waiter spoke something English so it was really helpful for an unmistakable American in paris like me. The...sushi was prepared professionally and the service was fast. softdrinks were a bit expensive."
