"I love the sushi here. It's delicious and fresh, the grill salmon is amazing, the chicken katsu/Avo is just the best, and so is everything else on the menu. The bento boxes are great value I think. I order from here once a week and it hasn't let me down yet. Probably the best small independent sushi place I've tried."

"Not overly impressed about our dinner here last week. Waiter was friendly but there was just an air of 'it's a quiet week night, not many tables, so we'll see if we can get away with little effort'.<br>

I sometimes like to select my meal before I go to a restaurant, from their online menu, and had done so on this occasion. Only trouble is, it turns out that there are old versions of menus floating around so none of the dishes I had chosen were on the current menu. The Facebook menu is different to the Zomato menu, and neither were the same as what we were given on the night.<br>

The meals were quite sufficient in size, and my husband enjoyed his lamb. My chicken was advertised as being served with a basil salsa verde. If it was salsa verde, it was certainly not like any I've had had at restaurants before, or made myself. At a guess, I'd say it was a spoon of store-bought basil pesto. There are only six main meals to choose from (plus pizza and pasta), so you'd expect...

"A few weeks back I got a takeaway menu through my letter box for China View. Hubby isn't a big fan of chinese, so with him out of town last night, I thought I'd take advantage of trying the place out. So popped in on my way home to pick up some takeaway.<br>

Firstly the restaurant looks great and the service was lovely. I decided on steamed dim sims, chicken with spicy salt, duck in plum sauce and fried rice. Wait time was around 20 minutes, so no drama there. They also seemed to have a fairly robust takeaway trade and one table was taken inside too while I was there.<br>

Okay got my food home, opened up the containers and everything looked delicious. Here is where my review will now become a little mixed. Firstly the dim sims - a generous serve of four and they looked really good, but somehow just seemed to lack taste. I can't put my finger on why, but they were just really bland, even with soy sauce. Next up the fried rice - sorry but I have to say this was dismal. I don't for the life of me know how this is possible but it was gluggy. Almost like it hadn't been fried at all - I don't know, perhaps they pre-make it and just heat and dish up. But it was really awful - and I love fried rice. The grains were all just stuck together, it was almost like risotto in some ways and really tasteless. Very disappointing. The duck in plum sauce was okay - I was expecting it to be battered I guess (like most places serve up) so I was surprised to see a whole breast sliced - pleasantly so - but then the skin side wasn't rendered down enough, so some pieces were really quite fatty - but the flavours were good, there was a good amount of veggies in the dish and in all it was okay. The pick of the night - or should that be saviour - was the chicken with spicy salt. Tender pieces of battered chicken (so probably just as well the duck wasn't) with loads of spicy salt - a really good spicy hit and I really enjoyed this dish a lot.<br>

Look it's very close to home for me, but I most likely won't go back - would prefer to drive a little further and get chinese I really like. I'm a bit disappointed it wasn't better as after seeing inside the restaurant, I had planned to make hubby go there one night for dine-in, but that won't be happening. But I do wish them all the best - they seemed to have plenty of repeat customers in picking up takeaway, so maybe I'm just too fussy, or maybe it was an off night."

"Sub-standard Vietnamese food. Small portions that are over priced for what you get. Not sure why it is rated so high (suspicious that the reviews are not genuine). You're better off going further out to Darra or Inala for a real authentic experience. Hardgrave rd in West End is also a proven hit for Vietnamese food as evidenced by the masses that converge there in the evenings."

"We ordered the following dishes, I provide a review for each dish.1. Duck and plum sauce. This was quite nice.2. Sweet and Sour Pork, this was pretty poor, the worst sweet and sour pork I've had. Some of the balls didn't have any pork, just dried up batter with battered goo inside. The other balls had teeny weeny bits of pork in them, I opened a few of them up and could see the measley bits of pork.3. Singapore noodles, very average4. Mongolian lamb, the lamb meat was gorgeous, very tender and melted in mouth, sauce was quite nice. Heaps of vegetables, maybe too many.5. Special fried rice, very average.Probably wouldn't go back here, I'd go to the Chinese at Sumners Road which is much better."
