"We hit on this at lunch on a Tuesday. It was packed and we had to wait for a menu and then wait to choose and then wait to get our food; meantime, a group of a dozen were having a very happy and prolonged lunch, so the wait was quite agreeable.My wife had a very fine salade Perigourdine and I settled for one of four plats du jour, a nice creamy veal stew with rice; these and a 1/2 L jug of house white set us up nicely.This was yet another very typical, un-pretentious French bistro that one hopes to hit upon and where you only had to look through the window to tell that it would be more than OK.Yes, we went for the plat du jour but a wide range of escalopes, pizzas ans salads were on the menu, together with a very decently-priced list of posher wines: we paid 25€ all in but it would be hard to spend as much as 50€."
