"We visited Juan Esteban during our roundtrip of Colombia with our three children aged 7, 5 and 3.We had a late lunch and the restaurant was pretty quiet. Spanish speaking waiter was very friendly and helpful. No problem dividing two kids meals with the three kids. The children had a skewer with pork and chicken with fries and pineapple juice. We had a churrasco with chimichuri, plantain, potato and a small salad. Don't expect too much from the salad, although it was good. But the churrasco was great (both taste and size).The food is prepared behind the bar on a large grill, making the whole restaurant smell of the nice food.If you are around in Salento and near the town square it's absolutely worth to visit Juan Esteban. I would come back and try something else of the menu, for example the ribs."

"The service in this restaurant is so ridiculously bad that you think: this can't seriously be happening. So, first thing was: we ordered a main dish, trout. So you might expect, that a main dish comes with any side like potatoes or rice etc and vegetables. Especially since it was the main dish and pretty expensive. But, guess what, we ordered trout, so we just got trout. So literally it was only one piece of fish on a plate. We asked for a little bowl of rice. But after couple of minutes, the waiter came back and said something in Spanish that we didnt understand, so: we never got the rice...The second thing that we ordered was a platano with cheese, tomatoes and onions. So what came? A cold and fried platano with cold cheese on it. Normally this dish is served warm and the cheese is melted. Took them 1 second to prepare it. Also: No tomatoes and onions. When I asked something he explained that he could bring a little bowl with it, but I said that it was supposed to be included, but he gave me the feeling I was wrong with it ( but it actually was in the menu (!). So never came the bowl with salsa, as well, even though I ordered it. Alright, that was the food. Now come the drinks: My friedn ordered lemonade without sugar. So, guess what: it was full of sugar, of course. I ordered a Poker, but was brought an Aguila light. After complaing, he brought the Poker. The best part comes now: after we finished eating, he took away my beer without even asking and it happened so fast, that I didnt notice fast enough. The beer was actually still like 30% full. So I asked him where my beer was and he replied that it was empty and I disagreed. So he came back with the bottle, which still contained a bit, but most of the beer was in the glas, which he didnt bring. So I tried to explain this to him, but he just replied with: en serio? He asked if I wanted to have a new beer, but I would have had to pay for it...great service.Not. Which waiter ever takes a partly full beer away after finishing eating?!?!? What was he thinking? Seriously? So,you might think: this was it. But no, the final part was the bill. He didnt change the beer order so, the bill still said I ordered the more expensive Aguila, even though I didnt order it. So, all in all, you can say, that every order we made, came put wrong and the worst part about it: the waiter didnt show any understanding for it. He constantly gave us the feeling, that we were the wrong ones. Please dont go to this place!!!"

"I visited La Eliana in 2015 and had an awesome curry. Yesterday I went with two friends and we were not disappointed. We just loved both the curried chicken and the vegetarian curry as well as the coco lemonade. The staff is awesome and the interior really nice with a pleasant odour of spices. I will definitely return."

"Geweldige eetgelegenheid en heerlijke koffie. Deze mensen verstaan hun vak.We hebben hier voor vertrek naar Valle de Cocora met onze kinderen (7 en 9) genoten van de lekkere wafels en crêpes. Net als de koffie zijn de verse sappen ook aan te raden. Een verbeterpunt is de juistheid van de rekening, maar dat is slechts een klein puntje hoor. Ga zo door!"

"Located between the random restaurants on the top and the ones in the village this newly opened place is totally worth a visit. The design is refreshingly modern and nice compared to the other places. And so is the food! Very fresh, tasty and on top beautifully arranged."
