"After hearing some positive feedback about this venue a group 6 of us decided to try it out. BYO option for wine was great, allowing us to bring a high quality Shiraz for much less than the bottle price of a restaurant. The ambience is...simple and rather hot without the AC on in North Queensland at this time of year. The spiced chicken legs were delicious as an entree and were improved by the duck pancakes for main would have appreciated some additional sauce as this ran out quickly . Overall everyone was pleased with their dishes for a total bill of approximately 210 meant everyone enjoyed dinner for approx. 35 each."

"Ordered the Wagyu Beef Burger with fries and Aoli dipping sauce. Lunchtime Service in the front bar area on a weekday. Counter service attendant was quick to come serve me, but seemed like he didn't enjoy his job. Meal came quickly and the burger was very big. Burger Patty was pink inside, but mostly Luke warm at best. Not sure if it was cooked earlier and heated again, but I didn't like it. Burger tasted alright, but Patty was a bit of a miss. Chips were average to good, but Aoli sauce was bland and a little abnormal tasting. Aoli sauce dish was not clean, so I left it alone. For amount paid, I was expecting a little better quality. "Went for breakfast, only 2 other tables occupied. Food took over an hour, and had to remind staff twice that I was still waiting. Eggs were black on the bottom, presumably from a dirty stove. Bacon was tough and rubbery and toast was so stale you could snap it into pieces. Coffee was good however. Would have cancelled my order if I wasn't so hungry by that stage."

"The 4 container we ordered were tiny and barely enough to feed our family of 4 but cost $75. the food was also very common, not even tasted good for the amount we paid. will never be ordered from there again. the lady on the phone was also very rude."

"We moved to Townsville six months ago and hadn't found a decent Thai restaurant until we tried Tuk Tuk last week. We had driven past many times, but don't let the appearance fool you. We've been twice now and the food has been amazing. My wife said last night's Pad Thai was the best she's ever had. It has a great menu and they also have Yum Cha dishes at night that I am slowly working my way through - Yay! The presentation of each dish is excellent with vibrant colours and the servings are generous. We'll be back again soon."
