"We arrived late after a long journey and picked this place to eat as it had lovely views and was slightly away from the town square where a music festival was in full swing. We were met by a very abrupt lady who shouted that the menu was limited which was fine. We struggled to order drinks as our French isn't great and there was a dog barking really loudly in the restaurant area. We were constantly interrupted during this by the host/owner shouting orders at staff and talking to the lady behind us. We sat for a while outside after we found a clean table and waited while waiter took orders from a few tables around us. After around 15 mins I followed the waiter to request some food to be told they were not serving food. By this time it had got so late that most places were closing and we were a bit of a walk away from other potential eateries. Overall a pretty awful experience, the lady in charge clearly did not want us there. real shame as I am sure with a little improvement this place could be great. I unfortunately had to use the shared toilet facilities while waiting, the smell was overpowering and the broken and filthy toilet was grim, to be met with a man stood at the urinal as you sneak out to wash your hands was quite an experience!Tip: if you don't speak French don't attempt this dive."
