"Super love their Beef Pepper Rice & Kani Salad. Those are the two things we order all the time + water. My only gripe is that the hot plates are always served too hot, so I can't eat my food right away. The husband doesn't seem bothered by that though because he finishes his food within a few minutes - never mind that it's hot. Haha!

"Zipang is a small, hidden Japanese restaurant somewhere in 11th Jamboree, Kamuning. I've been here a couple of times and always see the Japanese chef/owner of this restaurant preparing our meal.<br>

It's a small restaurant that specializes Nagano cuisine, where the chef is from.<br>

We ordered Agedashi Tofu, Mix Furai Teishoku, and Sanzokuyaki Teishoku. <br>

The agedashi tofu was thinly battered and fried to crisp, served with a light soy sauce blend. I like how they do they agedashi with a thin skin of crust thats crispy, combined with the silky, smooth, soft tofu that is perfectly flavored with the sauce and katsuboshi. It was just melting and plating flavors in your tongue.<br>

Sanzokuyaki teishoku was served with miso soup, a vegetable side dish, tuna skin pickle, rice, and the meat. The meat serving was good for 2-3 pax. It's basically marinated fried chicken. The chicken thigh fillets was moist and flavorful. The crispy crust was the bomb. It did remind me of Taiwanese fried chicken fillet, but crispier and tastier. It doesn't have a sauce to accompany it, but its already flavorful by itself.<br>

Zipang means Japan. It'll bring you to how restaurants in Japan are, small, simple, and personalized by the chef. If the chefs out, it's closed. <br>

I have been visiting here for quite sometime and Masashi-san always greet us with a smile and shows the Japanese hospitality.<br>

"We just went here for lunch this noon because I wanted to try their 195 meal with pizza, chicken, and a side dish of your choice. Me and my brother ordered different versions of the meal. I ordered the roasted garlic and shrimp pizza, NY BBQ wings, and chicken alfredo. The service is a bit slow, but it's okay because when they served the food, everything was still very hot. The cheese on the folded pizza was still very melty and gooey. The wings were a but underwhelming, though. They put very little sauce and the batter was just so-so. We had their loin tapa from the breakfast menu. Tapa was served with achara, 2 eggs, garlic rice and coffee for P140. I thought it was okay and affordable, although for others the portion may not be enough. <br>

I also tried a piece of strawberry redvelvet cheesecake which I enjoyed because I like cheesecake and strawberries and it was something new to me, hehe <br>

I like her place because it was cozy and calm enough to think, write, and read. <br>

"Dining experience is fabulouso! If you are indeed looking for a home cook meal then this is the place to hang out. Better call or make a reservation via booky app first as this restaurant might be fully book. We got lucky on a Saturday evening. We ordered the truffle pasta and pizza crapese. It's a good combination. My wife loves the pasta. I go for the pizza. Taste the cheese--kesong puti on it. Superb! Reminds me how mom baked our own pizza. The next we tried are the grilled pork chops. They come in pairs so it's definitely good for sharing. I'll sure be going back again. This time we'll use the booky app as they offer 100 pesos discounts."

"We had our Mother's Day lunch here today. I would've given a higher rating if not for the slow service we received. Understandably there's a lot of people since it's a special occasion, but they should've been ready for the influx of customers today. They said one of their servers called in sick and one of their chefs was pulled out to another branch. Why on a special day when most people are expected to eat out?<br>

Regarding their food, we ordered their pinakbet, their chicken carbonara, pork sisig, homestyle fried chicken, and baked salmon. Among these orders, my recommended ones are the sisig, carbonara, and baked salmon. The skin of their fried chicken was tasty, but the meat was dry and tough."

"Nothing special.. In fact, we ate here 3-4 hours ago but I couldn't remember anything remarkable nor upsetting. Food is so so, and so is the service. This is an exact replica of sumo sam from 10 years ago and with japanese restos sprouting here and there, they should also step up their game."
