"My reception as a solo diner was warm--and, luckily, English-speaking. During the evening, however, I was the only non-French person in the room--and the hostess greeted about half of them with kisses. Families, children. all very lively. My salad with lardons was more than generous, fresh and dressed lightly. The buckwheat crepe (the only thing to order) with spinach cream and smoked salmon was quite large and quite delicious--very good quality ingredients. Overall, a satisfying experience."

"After a long journey, our family of 5 opted for this chain restaurant as you know what to expect. While in general La Boucherie is good food when on the road, in this case it was a disappointment. Two steaks were certainly not as tender as advertised and the schnitzel was tough. Burgers were o.k., but fries were not crisp. Main courses were not up to the standard we know of at La Boucherie. The plate with tapas as a starter was enjoyable, though."
