"Good and quick. My mom and I drove past the Chalet for seven years, and used to joke about trying the 'Shall Let '. I finally tried it for breakfast. True it caters to the geriatric crowd, but good quick service and good food for the price. I may have to go back and try the steak and prawns for $8.99, just for sh*&ts and giggles. I won 't be expecting much."

"I found this place by chance. And I can tell you what it is. The service was over the top. A very helpful and friendly. I'm from New York and I know Delis. The food was excellent and plentiful. I had a corned beef and roast beef sandwich with fries. And my friend had an overflowing omelette. If you're in Oxnard, I'd definitely look at this place."

"Huge. Delish. Will be back!. Believe the good reviews! We did, and we were not disappointed. We have been searching for a breakfast place that 's a cut above the rest without paying $20 for a fancy omelette that is only 'fancy ' because someone put a caper and a sun dried tomato on it. This is it! HUGE portions and a fast selection of basics like eggs and pancakes, to multiple versions of eggs Benedict, to interesting specials such as a Greek gyro pesto scramble and a chicken apple sausage, Gorgonzola, roster red pepper and spinach omelette. Prices are very affordable for the portion size, with each massive plate needing a take home box but costing only $9.95. Nice service and personable welcoming owners. Wish we lived closer but we will certainly be back!"

"The seating area is small, but not too busy when I arrived before the lunch rush. I ordered the fajitas which had steak cut into thin strips and nicely seared. The fajitas came with only one large fresh tortilla instead of multiple smaller ones, but I made it work by tearing up the tortilla into smaller pieces. I wasn't brave enough to try the menudo (their specialty), but several other people got it while I was there. The sopapillas looked delicious, but I was too full to try. Refills on soft drinks are clearly marked at $0.60 in the menu it's nice to know up front, and the extra cost isn't too bad. The waitress was very attentive and friendly."

"This is one of the places that I wanted to go to before I even moved to southern California and I finally had the chance this weekend. It was well worth the wait. My husband ordered the double bacon cheese burger with zucchini fries and I the chickenteriyaki. I wasn't crazy about the sauce, wasn't bad just not my thing. But the chicken well cooked and seasoned. The burgerswas absolutely amazing. Seriously one of the best burgers I have ever had."

"Love the food here. Cashiers seem like they don't wanna work there or don't like people. They seem to have a stuck up attitude and don't want to hear anything besides food orders. Tables and floor are always clean when I go in. Very presentable and when you ask for chillies they give you at least 2 bags. Also has a drive thru"
