"This restaurant is located in a reused monastery. This restaurant occupies one corner of the property, while other secular businesses the remainder. Parking is behind the property and is free. The décor is a bit kitschy, typical wood beams and wrought iron in a rural Germanic style. The service is attentive, if nothing special. The staff also attends to the hotel above the restaurant, and when I was there was very limited. That said, everything was served hot and at the appropriate time, but the waitress was working very hard to keep up. Where this restaurant shines is the quality of the food. It is really quite nice. Everything that we had was fresh, well prepared and presented, and the taste outstanding. The menu includes local fare, with some interesting innovations. Servings are generous and the beers and wines offered adequate. As I recall I ate venison, and it was tender and quite delicious. The restaurant seems a favorite with well to do locals and businessmen even though located some distance outside of town. It was very busy when we arrived with large groups, including a table of Chinese businessmen and their hosts, and an exotic car club of some sorts. Lots of very high end cars in the lot. Menus are in German, but the staff speak some limited English. I enjoyed my meal here very much and would not hesitate to return should I find myself in the area. The location is a bit hard to find without a navigation system. Prices are not cheap but the food is worth it."

"Das Mezzos liegt direkt am Bahnhof. Daher gibt es unzählige Parkplätze in der Nähe. Das Ambiente ist modern, etwas zu eng gestellte Tische nach meinem Empfinden - bei kaltem Wetter nervt auch das Öffnen der Tür wegen des Luftzugs. Die Servicequalität schwankt - mal sehr schnell und aufmerksam, mal wird man leider eher fast ignoriert. Die Flammkuchen sind hervorragend, auch ausgezeichnet frühstücken kann man hier. Im Sommer kann man gut draußen sitzen - durch die Glasscheiben Wind- und auch einigermaßen lärmgeschützt. Zu erwähnen: hier wird auch das neue "Burghauser" Bier ausgeschenkt."
