"We had the beef burger (about a half pound) and it was very tasty. Cooked to medium well and well garnished. We also had the grilled ham and cheese which is also super. The Red Wine was excellent."

"We started good with tasty starters, but main dish was disappointing. Beef pie and pork knuckle were much below our expectations, salad on side was dry, with no sauce or olive oil on it. Pie meat was tasteless... Very big plus for service, very friendly and careful."

"We were anticipating a nice and quiet dinner in a pretty and cosy small winstub. We were given a nice table for two in the upper floor. Half of the small space was already "occupied" by a group of about 15 American tourists. The problem was that: a. it was a very noisy and annoying group, and b. the only young lady that was serving the room was practically "absorbed" by this group. As a result we were thrown two menus on our table and we had to wait for twenty minutes to give our orders. Our food arrived without any word or question. We had to ask for salt and pepper, for bread , for water. the water arrived but no glasses on the table. Anyway it has been a rather unpleasant situation and we decided to leave as soon as we ate our food, which by the way was very good, despite our already bad mood."

"We went to Meistermann for its special Christmas Eve menu and the whole experience was superb - the excellent food and wine, the service and the friendly owners (and the place was packed). For this occasion they only provided one special menu so I am only able to give a view on this but I feel sure that their every day menu would be just as good. Special mention for the Tournedos de boeuf and the Supreme to Sandre. Again because this was a one-off menu for a special occasion I feel unable to give a view on the restaurants value for money for its normal menu(s). I would however certainly go again should I return to Colmar - possibly on a trip down the Route des Vins in the summer!"

"Bei einem Stadtspaziergang mit über 30 Grad ist ab und an mal eine Erfrischung vonnöten. Diese war hier mitten in Colmar und sowohl 2- als auch 4beiner wurden gut bewirtet. Die Bedienung war schnell und freundlich die Preis nicht überzogen. Alles im grünen Bereich."
