"Lovely people. I spoke to Chef Jan about Coeliac Disease and he was very knowledgeable. He advised they can provide a gluten free meal but not garenteed Coeliac friendly food. The meal was tasty."

"The food was ok, it came out a fryer. If you don’t want to spend your money this is the place for you. The “chef” refused us puddings because they had one table of 13 in that had already had their mains. They had no starters, there were an abundance of teens up and down the stairs drinking shots and we were given our bill without even finishing our mains. No drinks were offered, no extras. We had to walk to another pub for a hot drink and pudding. Not sure how they make any money if they can’t manage 2 tables."

"The real ales are well-kept and there is always a real cider direct from the barrel available. The pub has an affable and entrepreneurial landlord who regularly hosts food nights. He also emails a highly readable weekly newsletter with details of forthcoming events at the pub as well as providing eloquent descriptive commentary on the changing natural world around the village. Aside from the saloon bar there is a games room. The bar staff are friendly,considerate and highly competent. The locally sourced food is avidly devoured by diners. The Kings Arms is a real gem in the heart of the community."
