"Had dinner at this restaurant which was nearby our hotel. Very efficient and friendly service. Menu was also available in English. Turkey schnitzel was amazing served with cranberry sauce and potato salad. I had roast pork with potatoes and coleslaw. Good sized meals and well...worth a is it. Restaurant did fill up quickly and the beer they brew seems very popular."

"Full disclosure: this is a family run restaurant we have eaten at many, many times during our visits to Salzburg and we have become good friends with the family. I also speak German fluently and this is a very local restaurant, so English is limited. BUT: if you want a neighborhood experience that includes good basic Austrian food, and you are adventuresome, give this place a try and tell them "Professor Thomas" sent you. The 93 year old matriarch is Frau Kaiser, the daughter is Karin. In good weather you can sit in the garden; otherwise, you may have to deal with some smoke, since Austria has not yet seen the wisdom of banning smoking indoors. On our recent visit (small lunch) we had a sausage with fries, a salad (ample), and a liter of wine for 24 Euro (ca $33). Dinner portions are large; try one of their Schnitzel.As I say, perhaps not to everybody's taste, but something off the beaten track."

"Former descriptions reflect the experience very well. Very nice staff. Three different pastas to choose between, which all tasted very good in different ways. The white wine served per glas was so so (too acid rich), but that is the only remark."

"Once a week my boyfriend and I visit this Restaurant for either lunch or dinner. The food is pretty good and so is the atmosphere; A nice rustic restaurant with seating possibilities inside and outside. Usually we eat one of the Burgers or a salad with goat cheese. The daily specials starting at 6 pm are also a very nice feature. The only thing that has been a bad experience at each of our visits was the service. It usually takes several moments until a waiter finally comes over to take the drinking orders. Sometimes it even happens that one is simply ignored because the waiters don't wish to take orders at one of the tables a collegue of their's is responsible for. Even just to order, one can wait up to 10 minutes if one doesn't draw the waiter's attention. Also it seems that the waiters have problems communicating with each other. After taking orders, most of the time a second waiter comes and wishes to take the exact same orders. This becomes quite annoying. The waiters also always seem to be so unmotivated to do things … As a guest I don't like it when it becomes my problem if people are unsatisfied with their jobs. The service really kills the relaxing atmosphere there and after eating up one's wish is to get going. Fast."
