"This café offers tasty food at an affordable price. I ordered the tuna toast with a side salad and an Almdudler to drink. The salad was REALLY good. It was a mix of lettuce, potatoes, cucumbers and I forget what else, all with a vinegar...dressing. The soda comes without ice, but I think this is the norm in Austria (or perhaps in October when it is very cold). I also had the breakfast that comes with the hotel stay; I believe there is a separate menu for non-guests. The servers are very friendly and speak English."

"Cute restaurant. Very relaxed atmosphere, with a nice outdoor seating area to watch people come and go. My wife had the brat from the giant pan (I think that 's what they called it). It was very good, but my meat dumplings and cabbage were the...highlight. Service is a little slow, but that 's kind of the norm around Austria. The food here was definitely worth the stop!"

"We were seated outside by the alley on sunny afternoon with a warm breeze. We ordered the Schnitzels, veg pasta, tafelspitz and the Rathauskeller plate. We were just dropping by en route to Salzkammergut and had no expectations. To our surprise, this place ended up being the best meal of the trip. The schitzels were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The pasta was very flavorful- a must have menu for vegetarians! The platter came in huge portions and the pickled salad that came with it was a perfect match. The Tafelspitz was better than what I had in Vienna. The beef was succulent and tender, flavorful broth fully absorbed in the meat. Their courteous servicing made the experience even better."
