"A godsend lunch on a rainy day. Very friendly service by owner and wife. Everything is fresh and excellent, only thing frozen is ice-cream. This is not fancy food but it's better than my mother made. Rabbit terrine with hazelnut starter was excellent. Had a...wonderful roast vegetable salad with chestnuts and goat cheese and also the grilled beef with herb butter. Finished with great sweets a non-sour lemon curd and outstanding warm chocolate chunk cookie. Very good, fair priced house wines."
