"A perfect place for a meal at any time of the day. We tend to go for a late breakfast or early lunch. The food is all homemade and freshly cooked to order, there is also a chill cabinet with a good selection of sausage rolls, Frittata, and quiche, together with bowls of amazing salads to choose from. My husband does the protein plus 3. I love the smashed avocado with poached eggs and salmon, with a flat grilled mushroom as a extra. An amazing place of you have food intolerances, they take to make sure everything is ok for you."

"We went for breakfast however it was not great. The coffee quality was poor and overall breakfast sandwich we ordered I could have made better myself. The mushrooms and hash brown on my breakfast tasted almost like it has been heated up from another day it didn’t taste fresh. Overall disappointed"

"I don't know how we have alluded this restaurant with the number of visits we've made to Alnwick over the years but no longer. The food was stunning! I started with the black pudding with sausage and crispy onions and my partner had the potato skins with sour cream both were absolutely beautiful. I followed with Fillet steak and she had the mussels. The steak was cooked (rare) to perfection and the accompaniments were ideal. To round off I had the home made sticky toffee pudding which, as it should, stuck to the inside of my ribcage. We had a bottle of merlot to drink with the meal which came to £87 in total which was nothing for how well we'd eaten. This has now gone into our top 1 of places to visit when in Northumberland."

"No trip to my parents is completed without visiting this fabulous caffe! it is one of the first things my children ask when I say we go to granny and grandpa 's, can we go to the small world cafe!? beautiful atmosphere, delicious fresh food and what a joy to be in the position to eat some delicious sweet tasty foods, like someone who is milk and gluten-free and in the regular without going. highly recommended!"

"Travelled quite some distance to visit but how very disappointing! NOT as dog friendly as advertised. Dogs only allowed outside or in the bar area. Service was shocking! Waitress shut us down after bringing drinks when we asked to order food. She went off muttering something about getting her notepad. Food was very bland. Only positive was the big portion size. Will NOT be returning or recommending"
