"I love this subway because it is typically quiet during the day, so based on my experience its fast, easy efficiency. Can't comment on what the state of play is late on a Friday or Saturday night, but I guess something like controlled chaos. Great service Fresh products."

"We waited approx one and half hours for fish and chips, in the Stratford cafe. They were very mediocre/disappointing when the arrived. They also told us half an hour after we had placed the order that they didn't have my first choice (not sure why we weren't told straight away, and asked for alternative order). The lady on another table ordered the vegetarian beakfast, and was given a meat breakfast with bacon, and sausages. Another guy had to wait 20 minutes to pay for a cup of tea, as the lady on the till had done a disappearing act. Another lady was begging them for some bead and butter for her child, as they'd been waiting for so long and the child was crying. We have found often the only things available are either the fish and chips, OR the breakfast despite them having quite a large menu. having been several times, think we have finally learnt our lesson NOT to go again. The managers are not trained to deal with customer complaints, hopeless. Avoid this place."

"McDonald's Reading is a sad place. It's too expensive, not very good, and the one I visited was not what I would think was clean. It is a stereotypical fast food joint without matching the price structure. There are better options if you are looking for Junk Food in Reading. Avoid McDonalds if you can."

"Rather than stop in a motorway service station for lunch, we took a teeny divert from the to reach The Swan. (Probably easier quicker than parking up in a service station and walking to the building whilst risking your life! The pub itself...is lovely; cosy, low ceilings with beams, nice clean loos great beers on the pump. All the food is home cooked (apart from anything in breadcrumbs We both opted for the pheasant soup as a starter (big enough for a meal with the hunk of bread you receive and then butchers sausage mash (with a choice of mushy peas, beans or garden peas) and onion gravy. The sausage is enormous; I reckon around sausages worth! And best of all, it’s delicious! We would have loved to try the desserts but sadly no room! The landlady is delightful and very friendly which is always appreciated if you aren’t a local. I would highly recommend as an alternative to a soulless service station to any traveller, or if you’re in the area, make it your local pub. Enjoy."
