"Quiet when I visited, the seating is comfortable, and the place relaxed in a subdued lighting kind of way. The waiters, wearing traditional clothing, were always near if requested, sometimes too eager, as I didn't feel I was being left in peace to totally enjoy my meal. Bavarian sausage and the usual wiener schnitzel is recommended, along with other traditional fare, washed down with wheat beer. More of a group and couple restaurant, downstairs in the crowne plaza hotel. Recommended."

"Зашел вечером. Шумно, многолюдно, но столик смог найти. Довольно интересный интерьер. Средней скорости обслуживание, но вынос блюд довольно быстрый. Заказал 0,5 пива Wieninger натюрлих - приятное по вкусу, правильной температуры, правда пены в бокале немало. Крем-суп- обычный суп, пустой какой-то, немного зелени сверху и все. Гуляш говяжий с картофелем - картофель как пюре, во вкусе чувствуется что скоро скиснет. Вкусная говядина, немаленькая порция, но некоторые куски очень жесткие. Сама заливка приятная на вкус. Тарелка сама по себе была очень горячей, можно подумать что ее тщательно дезинфицировали)) но мне все же кажется что блюдо подогрели в микроволновке) За все около 20 евро, адекватная цена. В целом неплохо."

"Perched atop the Monchsberg mountain, the Gasthaus Stadtalm Cafe offered us a panoramic view of Salzburg. A local friend had called ahead to arrange for a table but was told that the restaurant was booked full. We decided to proceed up the hill by foot...and elevator to at least see the sights from above. As luck would have it when we wound our way around the fortifications to the Stadtalm, a table was just opening and we were seated. Although others in our party ordered more traditional Austrian meals, we ordered mushroom omelettes with side salads and chilled white wine. Enjoying brunch high above Salzburg was a delight, and the views were spectacular. We even saw paragliders on the far side of the city!"

"If you want high quality food and drinks, go that extra mile to get to Die Weisse Very traditional and well prepared Austrian/German food. The food is great, but especially their home brewed wheat beer is out of this world. We have never tasted anything...like their special radler (half beer/half lemonsoda) with black currant instead of the lemon. We had a lot."

"Been here several times. Food has always been fresh ingredients, masterfully prepared and nice presented. Because it looks like a tavern should be interpreted as a sports bar... it isn't, and if you so acr, they won't treat you too well. Prices are moderate for where you are...the most expensive place in Austria, right in the heart of Salzburg. Great place if you have foolishly missed making a rezervation for the commonly owned Goldener Hirsch."
