"My husband and I visited Jubans Restaurant Bar for lunch on a Wednesday for the first time. It's located in a Strip-Mall but you will be taken aback by the decor and atmosphere once you enter the establishment. We ate at the Lunch Room's bar being we had no reservations, and yea you probably need a reservation even during lunch. The entire bar is decorated by themes. The night bar and dinner room is decorated with dark rich plush velvets, chandeliers and gold trims throughout. Very Gatsby like but is not open during the lunch hours. The lunch room was a bit different . Very well lit, Pinks and Blues sprayed throughout as if you are at a Garden Baby Shower. The guest are the who's who's or who's who want to bees. The food was beyond amazing. They offer a boudin dip, and is hands down the best appetizer on any coast. The staff are respectful and professional. Jubans doesn't make so much on the food as they do the liquor. You will pay $21 dollars for one glass of wine that you would normally pay $40 for the whole bottle. Their demographics don't seem to mind. As far as attire, dress well for lunch and dinner. You'll see high end designer bags on every table with heels and appropriate coverage with high fashion designer pieces. I was the only one in the entire restaurant with my hair up and in flats. They are under new management from an outside company that seems to be doing well with the re-decor and vibe as well as food. For layman's terms: It's Fancy."

"Someone from the area recommend this spot and I'm glad I stopped in during my recent visit to Baton Rouge. We came on Saturday evening and there were a lot of people, but fortunately only 2 of us and we were seated immediately. Great service and delicious food. I ordered several items and was pleased with all of my choices. The catfish po boy was good despite not having as much fish on the sandwich. Still 5 stars in my opinion."

"Here for the Women's Bowling Championships! A group of us came here for dinner last night. The Pork Chops were the best me and my husband ever had. So moist and full of flavor!! Everything was awesome!! And please, please give kudos to David, our waiter. He was full of charm and awesomeness!! He is what made this a more memorable experience!"

"I live Italian food (my grandma is Sicilian), but the dishes here are just ok. I haven't had a bad experience, but I find the sauces to be light and less rich than the Italian food I love and am used to. I don't know if it's open for lunch now, but I have tried to go a couple of times in the past for weekday lunch to find them closed."

"The food was top notch. This is a great date spot. The service was a little slow but they were also hosting a large event. Despite this our waitress was still attentive. The cocktails were awesome as well. Show up early before your reservation and have a drink first!"
