"This has been a regular for our family over the years, with some great dishes. We've even been across to the sister restaurant in Eltham. But this time we had a booking for 14 diners (family and friends) to celebrate an 18th birthday on a...Monday night. Everyone arrived on time only to find the place in complete darkness. They had changed their days of operation but completely neglected to honour the booking or advise of their change. We had left two phone numbers for contact purposes. Chaos ensued. The night could have been a total disaster. Luckily the Cross Keys came to the rescue and could accommodate us, but we could not be more disappointed with Nongkhai Thai. Maybe they simply failed to check their bookings at all. Even a call on the day would have allowed some changes to be made. Unforgivable for a local restaurant to simply ignore a big booking. Would normally give them 4 stars for food, beverages, service. Now I can't recommend them at all. We'll never go again, and will encourage others to dine elsewhere."
