"My husband I dined at The Keg St. James with my sister brother in law. When we arrived we were greeted outside by an employee wearing a mask. She asked us if we had traveled outside Manitoba in the past weeks ..we indicated we just arrived from Alberta that didn't seem to be a problem. We sat outside on the patio since it was a very warm evening it was quite lovely. The tables seemed adequately socially distanced but our server didn't wear a mask. Our meals were outstanding all our steaks cooked to perfection. Service was friendly attentive. Conveniently located at the corner of Moray Portage Ave and a short walk from our hotel. We will continue to return to the Keg St. James when in Winnipeg"

"An over priced steak house that is lacking in qualified wait staff. If your looking to revisit the glory days of the Keg and Cleaver you won't find them here. Two out of seven orders were wrong when served. Three mistakes on the bill for dessert. The salad was wilted and drenched in dressing...we should have gone to Macdonald's. ;)"

"When seated, the waitress asked if we were here for a special occasion - It was a nice surprise to be offered a free desert, when she was informed that it was my wife's birthday.My prime rib, and my wife's sirloin were fantastic.My garlic mashed and mixed grill vegetables were warm... not hotBut no big deal, given that you come to The Keg for Beef and not vegetables.Loud atmosphere which is typical for most restaurants on a busy day.But I don't know why Restaurants often turn the ambient music volume "UP"When things get busy,And this was the case here.A family with 2 young kids, about 2 or 3 years old were right next to us,And we were delighted to see our Waitress pay special attention to them.They were Golden."

"I've been blown away from her service. I celebrated Thanksgiving with my family tonight in this keg. Desiree and Sam were quick to fix one of my orders and surpassed my expectations to make this a great night for us. The ambience was wonderful... at the fireplace on the terrace.
