"Amazing! I agree, this place is almost impossible to make a reservation. In fact, I made a reservation for mid Nov 4 months ago. We didn’t opt for the Omakase, but we did a combination of a la cart items and omakase nigiri/sashimi combo. Every piece of fish was super fresh, highlights being the chutoro, botan ebi, and Hokkaido scallops. You could tell that everything was prepared with care. For example, we ordered hand cones and the moment the chef was finished making it, it was delivered to our table within seconds so the seaweed wasn’t soggy. The service is 10/10 as the wife continuously checked if my tea was empty and always brought plates out with a smile. The tempura batter was light, yet extremely crispy. One thing I would do differently is to not order both the nigiri and sashimi omakase special as both sets had the exact same fish. Overall, some of the best sushi I’ve had in Calgary. I would definitely come back here for a nice sushi meal."

"Small group including some older seniors on a Friday dinner time outing. A little bit busy around the main bar but managed to find a table quiet enough old ears could still follow a conversation. Lots of big windows looking out onto the beautiful patio, if only it was a little later in the summer. Orders included the special of the night, a chicken sandwich with avocado and paired with the perfect crispy and seasoned French fries, one steak sandwich with greens from the regular menu and the maple butter salmon with rice and vegetables also from the regular menu. For drinks we tried the Guinness Hop House 13 and Shotgun Wedding from Half Hitch Brewery in Cochrane. Half Hitch beers are on tap. The fries were really excellent and made everyone who didn't get them regret their own attempts to get some greens or veggies. Both the chicken sandwich special that night and Sirloin steak sandwich were praised and appreciated. My own meal Maple Butter Salmon was also really good. One of those pieces of salmon you wish would never end. Service was quick with drinks and to take orders and showed some genuine patience explaining specials and taking orders from older guests. I think the food was well beyond pub fare and the service efficient and courteous, and there was a quiet space for us even though it was a pub on a Friday evening."
