"Found this on TA on an overnight stay in Merville before catching ferry back to UK. There were only 2 restaurants open as it was a Monday evening but we were happy with our choice as were the other French diners. There is a gravel...drive leading up to the restaurant and the owner spotted me having problems with the wheelchair and immediately came and pushed me inside.We were under the covered terrace (there are steps up to the main indoor seating) . Good service throughout the meal. The moules marinieres were small (due to the season) but fresh and tasty. The seafood platter for 2 76 euros looked amazing. Ample blue badge parking opposite the restaurant"

"Chez Marion is a charming hotel with an in-house restaurant. In tiny Franceville, it is the best option for better dining. Located within walking distance from the beach, it is decorated in an elegant, traditional manner. No one spoke English and my French is abysmal,...yet I still managed to have a wonderful meal. The waiter was patient and helpful. I had a delicious fish soup followed by a beef filet and concluded with an apple tart with Calvados. (Calvados is the apple brandy unique to the Normandy region). If you should find yourself in Franceville, Chez Marion is your best bet for a memorable dining experience. Bon appetit!"
