"Eleven days ago but vivid memories of excellent eating and service with friendly permission from chef, owner and friendly staff. home made soup as first cure (best suppe since a visit in frankreich, before many monden); hauptkurs special menu brought me halibut, which was tender enough to still taste the sea, with magnificent guides; and a house made classic tiramisu for dessert, for which no cake of the lobe can suffice. as my wife is eating lambs, we had a dilemma again about the wee, the facility was extremely helpful. chef even came out to chat with us, and his absolute passion for the magic of the kitchen was clear. we felt wonderfully well looked around, and the price was very valuable. many thanks to all that they give us an unforgettable meal on the last day of our short holiday."

"We were a table of 6 that celebrated Mother’s Day lunch at the Foxhunter, we were initially a table of 4 but a few days before 2 more members of my family wanted to join and the staff managed to squeeze the extras in on an extremely busy day. The food was served promptly by lovely young waiting staff, everything went smoothly considering how busy the restaurant was. Mums was also gifted a plant which finished off a lovely afternoon."

"What a gem or a pub and restaurant. Wow! Friendly welcome from all staff and the chef. Clean and masks worn and great service. Historic building with a lovely atmosphere with ghost stories, beams and the open log fire. The food was outstanding, from the most juice garlic bread to the tender steaks and great portions of sweet desserts. Thank you Khalid and team for a wonderful evening and I cannot recommend your place enough. No foodie photos as we ate the lot but see you soon for more!"

"Have stayed at this boutique hotel for last 7 years with our friends for annual Christmas break except for 2 year break with covid when hotel was closed This annual Christmas visit for weekend with friends was lovely but restaurant disappointing with limited menu choice Menu so limited not worthy of 5 stars restaurant more 3/4 star No cooked breakfast first time in all our visits only continental available!!! No chef on to cook it Rooms very nice warm and welcoming. Very clean coffee/tea in room We sadly wont be booking this hotel again which is disappointing ! there were just to many corners cut to save money Daniel our waiter was exceptionally helpful"

"Location: Restaurant is located is a lovely area. An old barn was converted into the restaurant today years back. Restaurant has a lot of character and very pleasant. Service: Excellent service from the staff and minimal delays during delivery of drinks and various food...courses. Food: We chose the set menu. The starters were excellent, very tasty and well presented. As a treat we also sampled some bean soup which was very, very good. Main meals of steak (Sirloin, Ribeye) were grilled as requested, however the quality of the steak was a little disappointing. Puddings (Apple pie Ice cream) were delicious. Value: Value for money for the courses. Would recommend as lovely place for dining out."
