"This is my first time adding a restaurant review I just feel like this time I had to! I went to this place having great expectations based on the Google reviews but I instead got incredibly disappointed. Atmosphere was terrible, felt like a funeral, that should’ve been my first sign, place was empty at 7pm, it was just us and another table. The food was sooo bad that we couldn’t believe our eyes, it looked and tasted terrible. Fajitas were covered with soy sauce that we couldn’t even see the peppers, it was all burned, black and tasteless. How can you get fajitas wrong??? We ordered chicken wings for appetizer and they were so lame and plain and freezer burned. Rice was hard as a rock and seemed preheated and old. Steak was over cooked and tasteless! The drinks were just ok, nothing special. Fajitas were either chicken, steak or Shrimp and when I ordered them mixed the waiter made a face and charged me $35 without telling me that the mixed fajitas would be a surcharge this high it was $23 originally for 1 pick and the portion was ridiculously small. The prices were also unreasonable for the quality of the food and place. I’ve been to all types of restaurants, high end, regular, casual, and this is the only place I have hated to visit with all my gut. We still tipped the waiter because it wasn’t his fault and ate the food because we were soooo starving and I had my kid with me that needed to eat, otherwise I would’ve returned everything and left."

"My wife and I were looking forward to eating at Aji 53 since we had heard great reviews. At least it has a nice decor. Unfortunately, we were given a new waitress who was greatly lacking in experience. She was not familiar with the menu. When our meal arrived, we had to ask for Wasabi, which took a while. I had to ask her for my beer two times, so of course I was charged for two beers. (No, I did not pay for two) I ordered a main course of Sesame Tuna. Which cost $25 for a very small portion. My meal was served on a very large plate and pushed all the way to one side. It gave the perception that something was missing. Unfortunately Aji53 was very underwhelming and we will not be back."

"There are lots of places for sushi in the area but this place is absolutely the best.The flavors, presentation, and variety are outstanding. Tasty cocktails, too. Everything tastes really fresh and prepared with care. Nice decor and good service. They make the most exquisite shumai and scallop sushi. Heavenly. Favorite rolls are Mango Madness, Roll 53 and Magic. It's not cheap, but the prices are reasonable for such well prepared, delicious food."
