"This was our first time in Macfarlane and my wife booked it for my birthday. What a fantastic treat. Right from the off it was a very professional and extremely friendly front of house team. Fantastic explanation of the dining experience we were going to...get and plenty of advice on what and how we could go about it but the choice was ours to make, the team would make it work. The food was exquisite all served as it should be, we could have chosen more options as all the food looked tasty but stomach capacity is limited. Food combinations certainly complimented each other and were different, the Lamb and Scallops especially. Again we can’t complement the front of house staff (and of course the brilliant cocktail mixologist) enough. However behind the calm and professional team up front there are the chefs out back who pedal hard to provide the backbone for this fantastic place to dine, we thank them too. We will definitely be back."

"Beautiful place for a meal, I was a few times and always have a nice meal and they change the menu regularly, so there is much to choose! mandy and staff are very friendly and nothing is a problem for them. If they have not yet been, I would highly recommend the black bull ."

"Delicious, consistently good food. I am a bit of a steak aficionado and the ribeye was clear good quality meat, well prepared and cooked after my specifications. bang on, ad was the pfeffersoße! very good. with regard to customer support, the entire staff team was obviously well trained, attentive, courteous and discerning, which is very appreciated in view of the vulnerability of our party. also great environment/decor and ambiente. this was only our second visit, but probably a regular hunt (30th oct). thanks for giving us another great culinary experience and the great waiting team"

"Eating was delicious, my steak was perfectly cooked (rare) dessert (mixed berry cheesecake) was also delightful. friend had the fish and chips and pavlowa, which were also delicious. the personal was very friendly and the service excellent. if they are in prestwick and are looking for a place to eat, I recommend the vine."

"Off the beaten track is this restaurant that was open on Sunday night. we decided to try it after a busy day on the castle grounds of culzean. previous reviews were before location friendly, faster service. starter came immediately followed by very well presented netzen with beautiful desert finished. fast and efficient without pressure. everything we ordered was delicious. a Jewel of a place."
