"Although the owners have changed over the years, from when my family and I have been going to Skippers from the early 80's, the quality hasn't changed one bit! In the 30 odd years that our family have been going to Skippers, we have never...been disappointed! My sister and I delighted in going down the road to Skippers to order our Friday dinner, to be given, in kind, by the staff, an extra serving of fish cocktails and potato scallops on top of what we had ordered. And the flavour hasn't changed! The crispiness of the batter of whichever fish you choose, as well as the texture of such fresh fish is heavenly. The chips, which I have bragged to many a friend over my years, in my opinion, the best in this country (next to Scotland and Ireland), with the combination of soft yet crispy and most importantly, fresh, peeled and par-cooked! If you haven't been to Skippers, I suggest that you get yourselves down there to enjoy their food. Especially with the beach only a stone's throw from their shop... What better way to end a day, than sitting on the beach with such wonderful food!"
