"Slow to take our order, others who arrived after us were getting starters when our order was taken, but after that, the service was exemplary and the food was amazing topped off with half price oysters . Only problem was two desserts I wanted had run out"

"Recently ate here and was very happy with the quality of the food, the speed and quality of the service, and the overall atmosphere and decor of the restaurants. the skalopp dish from the a la carte menu was excellent. the delicate aromas were perfectly balanced and I felt that the portion size was appropriate. the main course of the pan meerroten corresponded not entirely to the level of the starter, but was still very pleasant with the well-presented leisure services. the 5 seasoned dressing/ sauce matched the other ingredients very well and the salad products were fresh and full taste. the dessert was really the star of the show. Although it was very well presented, I was initially underwhelmed with the individual aromes of the Black Forest dessert. But then I started to combine them on the plate and was so incredibly impressed. I can honestly say that it was the best dessert for which I probably had a few years. the total experience was very positiw, and I would recommend this restaurant for a lot of occasions / species of visit. I visited while I was in the adjacent cantley house hotel on a business trip, but the restaurant would be ideal for a few visits or for a group of friends."

"We had an early table for 4. The service was very good. All staff were very friendly. The Antipasto starter plate was very small and poor value at £9.95. The fish pie was tasty but had obviously been left under a hot lamp for too long as there was a skin on the sauce. The garden peas had dried out a little. I was very British about it and did not send it back. The fish and chips was very good although a bit pricy at £17.95p. The fish pie was tasty and filling. All in all just an ok from us for the price and not rushing back."
