"I’ve always wanted to try this place. The greeting was warm and friendly and the restaurant felt very comfortable. There’s an old fashioned cover charge of £5 a head for olives and bread. I haven’t encountered this for years and years. It felt rather quaint. I would prefer to see it incorporated in the main charges rather than separate but that’s just my opinion. I had very tasty haddock and salmon fishcakes on a bed of spinach and my companion had spaghetti and meatballs. We shared a rocket and parmesan salad and both had a glass of house red which was good. The affogato was delicious and served in a lovely glass. We liked the food and felt very nicely served. The ambiance was interesting because it’s in the heart of the city and it was full of business people who could well have been dining on expense accounts. That was our only caveat; we both felt it was very expensive for what it was, which means sadly, that we won’t be regulars."

"Great food and attentive service. We were there early on a Sunday (5pm) so it was a bit empty and lacked atmosphere, but that's more to do with the time of day, than the restaurant itself. Would certainly go again and /or recommend."
