"My brother and his wife came to Calgary and wanted to take us out for good Italian fare. I selected Abruzzo. My brother claims to be an expert on fine Italian dining.He was extremely impressed by the quality and tenderness of the veal in his Parmigiana dish. His wife loved her Cannelloni.I had Veal Marsala, which is not on the menu for some reason but they will prepare it for you if they have the needed ingredients in house. It was absolutely FANTASTIC!We all had a great evening and the food made it even better."

"After living in Calgary all these years, I never thought to try out Olive Garden until a friend suggested eating here. I didn't expect much, but I cam away very satisfied. First of all, the restaurant was packed. All the staff members were running on high nonstop. Our server was always on the run, yet she took time to greet us and made sure we were taken care of. She was always happy and it made our meals better. Hands down my win for the night was the Zuppa Tuscana soup. It was bottomless and I had 2 bowls. I would have had another if I didn't try another soup in between. Mind you, the Pasta E Fagioli soup was delicious too, but the Zuppa Tuscana made my night. Next time we are here (and I know we are coming back), I'm going for the unlimited soup and salad. I don't care for the salad so it's unlimited soup for me at Olive Garden from now on! I also ordered the Chicken Parmigiana which was decent. The chicken was very crispy and the speghetti was expected. The sauce was not exceptional, but the chicken is clearly the star. My wife ordered the Shrimp Scampi which she said was light and refreshing. She enjoyed it. Our friend, who is the reason we were here, was the clear expert as she got the Soup and Salad combo. It's her favorite and now mine!"

"We celebrated our son and daughter's university graduations with a private Saturday afternoon luncheon for 27 people at Franca's. We were stunned by the beautifully decorated table, 4-course delicious meal, impeccable service and clearly tabulated bill. I can't say enough about this wonderful family who own the restaurant and looked after every detail with so much care and attention - everything was perfect! I would highly recommend that you think about this venue for any kind of celebration - it feels like home, and you can relax and enjoy the moment knowing that everything will be taken care of with excellence."

"We have a last minute reservation for Mothers Day. Upon arrival they sat in the picturesque rooms, very cozy, which looked over 17th Avenue. We loved it. The food was great and the service was even better. We did not feel hurry, enjoyed our meals and our evening was intercepted with complementary Lemoncello. A great memory of our trip to Italy last year and all the wonderful comp-limoncello there. We will be back and recommend it to all!"
