"Our daughter and six year old grandson suggested Frankie's and Benny's as somewhere to eat before returning home from a shopping trip. We reluctantly agreed, as we had accompanied then to this company's sites before and found in uninspiring to say the least. Imagine our supprise, when the manager escorted out grandson to our table, making jokes and asking him about his favourite football team. Then Tom a really pleasent young man came to take our order and again made quite a fuss of our grandson. The menue was better that we remembered too. The food arrived really quickly and Tom looked after us all checking several times that we were Ok. The manager offers our grandson a free pudding I if he eat all of his lasagna, whilst we were eating. The food was hot, tasty, portions were of good size and Tom and the Manager kept us ammused and made the time their fly by. A great venue with cracking staff and good food. We will certainly be returning again, next time we shop in Street. Great work guys"

"The food is terrible, I ordered a “gourmet” burger it was a burger bun that u get from the supermarket! Cold cheese out of the packet and my friends eggs were rock hard!!! We also ordered a med rare steak and it came out black and didn’t taste like beef more like pork, the peppercorn sauce was cold and was gross, and I’m appalled 30+ for that food and it tasted like I bought it from Aldi and cooked it. So so Appalled and will never return as tasted like absolute garbage ! And too top it off my onion ring was soggy!"

"We visited this pub to have a family meal whilst out with our dog. The staff were very welcoming. The pub was quiet as it was only a Wednesday. We all had dinner of us) and all had something different, the food all came...at the same time. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The dog even got brought a treat. Such a gem of a find, highly recommend this pub."

"Avoid. Rooms are grubby and falling apart, lots of water damage and mould. Food downstairs is terrible and service is very very slow. Charging £130 a night for this place is theft. Really tarnished our family holiday."

"We discovered this pub when visiting to watch the Morris dancing one evening. It has loads of atmosphere, with low ceilings, cosy rooms off the main dining and drinking area and a tiny bar which is approached on two sides. It's a very friendly, welcoming place, with a good selection of local beers, and as we wanted to support it we decided to come back for dinner the next evening. Would definitely recommend booking a table as most if not all were full quite early on on a Friday night. The menu isn't huge, but there is a specials board with a lot of choice we ate venison stew which was hot, hearty and very filling, leaving us with no room for pudding. Portions are very large! The pub has a car park, but there is room in the roads nearby. Dogs are welcome too."
