"Grabbed a quick lunch here whilst in Clacton. Nice and clean, gave a good initial impression backed up by very pleasant and helpful manager and his staff. Food came quickly, freshly made, simple and good at reasonable cost. Not fancy dining but then you wouldn't go here expecting that. Good at what it does"

"The family went for a trip to Walton on the maze beach and tried this cafe.I ordered a full breakfast .Didn't have all the things in it like the picture showed.was told that black pudding hash browns were extra.My older sons burger had lumps of gristle in it and a part thawed bun.Had to ask for refills of tea and coffee for adults and kids had no choice but to have fish fingers or chicken nuggets and beans . Asked to speak to manager but they were unavailable so instead some eastern european jack the lad with unhelpful,cocky attitude who said he was main chef came out ,couldn't understand english enough to be any help and said we must have not ordered the black pudding or hash browns.when it was pointed out they are in the photo he claimed not to understand us and was more interested in his mobile phone suddenly.How can the chef do his job and even know the meals he's cooking without speaking any basic english ?He then got rude when i asked him to end his call to his girlfriend and speak to us ,he then made my little girl cry with his foreign aggressive shouting.The place was full of uncleared tables."

"Really disappointing. The last time we came it was good, but this time not at all. Asked for med cod and large chips. Med cod was about 3/4 the size of a postcard and all the batter stuck to the paper and pulled it off. Taste was quite watery. Large chips was about 3 x the portion size of the medium chips on our last visit and they were all soggy."
