"The Krone is definitely one of my favorites located in the old town, pedestrian zone in Winterthur (actually in the Hotel Krone). The atmosphere is friendly, the staff are lovely and very attentive, the food especially the Wiener Schnitzel are very good. Prices are not exactly cheap, but you get good value for your money."

"Um 18.00 Uhr war das Lokal leer. Die Gastgeberin las Zeitung am Tisch und wir hatten den Eindruck, das Lokal könnte keine gute Wahl sein. Aber sobald wir sassen, zeigte sich, dass die Bedienung sehr Gastfreundlich und speditiv ist. Die Speisekarte ist für Fleischliebhaber und so bestellten wir Salat und Gordonbleu. Beim Salat war die Sauce hausgemacht und wirklich sehr fein. Leider war das Gordonbleu dann leicht angebrannt, der Käse lief beim Braten heraus und es hatte auf dem Teller einiges Fett. Das Fleisch war gut durch und die Füllung gut gewählt und fein. Die Pommer waren knackig und frisch fritiert. Alles in Allem: Die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam, das Essen durchschnittlich, die Ambiente aber angenehm. Viel Holz und Dekoration. Die Sprüche auf der Toilette sollte man entfernen. Um 20.00 Uhr waren dann übrigens einige Tische mit essenden Leuten besetzt."

"Very disappointed for not being allowed to enter this bar.. since were not locals. I with my colleagues and decided to visited cotthard bar on Saturday 24th November 2019, we was not allowed inside due to bar was full (it’s not, we can see through outside . Meanwhile we was waited outside the bar approximately 20 minutes, then 2 couple are allowed to enter. when I asked security guard, why we’re not allowed, he respond was we are not a couple and I understood, that’s fare enough. After 10 minutes, groups of 14 people came and security was allowed them to enter, while very serious argument. I went and asked again this Asian security guy, first he told us it’s a full, second time he said only couple are allowed, then how you let 14 man in. So what we’re brown so what we’re not local, we not going to drink free, we also working in same industry."

"Habe eine sehr grosse Auswahl an Desserts vorgefunden: Torten, Patisseries, Kuchen, Guetzli, Glacés usw. Ich entschied mich für ein Glacé, wo die Glacekarte recht grosszügig gestaltet war. Da ich keinen grossen coupe wollte, bestellte ich einen Mini-Bananensplit, welcher sehr gut war. Ich werde wieder dort Glacé essen gehen, es ist schwer ein vergleichbares Lokal im Raum Winterthur zu finden, welches so feine Glacé und eine so grosse Auswahl anbietet. Gerne wieder"
