"This family restaurant is absolutely wonderful and quite German: friendly and helpful waiting staff, ugly and tasty offers, especially German favorites, and a small family-oriented clientele. the first time I tried to get into her was booked with locals, but a week. later I was able to board a Wednesday and was very enthusiastic. I was, I think, the only outside-sider there, but was made to feel at home and was greeted and handled well. if they have a car and have a location near the airport francfurt (and have a GPS system or a good map, then this is the place that is worth their trip. Probably 15 minutes from the airport. I travel in Germany a lot and this place is top-notch."

"In the small village of Wicker is a Strausswirtschaff, a family owned restaurant that is simply excellent. Friendly, traditional, with a great location in a small village in the vineyard area outside of Frankfurt. Wonderful schnitzels with a variety of sauces. Local wine. Worth going; great food!"
