"Well executed French cuisine with great wine list and cocktail menu. Revisited this place for lunch during restaurant week. Bar tender let me sample a couple wines before selecting one for a glass. Had nce cream of asparagus soup starter, then nice shrimp in a tomato based bisque with toast triangle, thrn finished off with peanut butter crunch chocolate dome thing with creme and cake. Yes it was a 3-course lunch menu. Definitely going to revisit here for happy hour at some point."

"Top of our list right now after a year+ of exploring KC after moving from Houston. We coincidentally met chef Brandon Brumback at a J. Rieger barrel dinner the weekend prior and loved what he did, so it was no surprise that this was a home run.The ambience is fantastic from the moment you walk in the building. The restaurant is cozy and romantic. Staff are friendly and helped with anything we asked for recommendations on.We ordered the beef carpaccio and Caesar salads to start. Both were fantastic, the salad dressing being perfectly balanced with flavorful, crispy yet tender croutons.Half a dozen oysters were next. They were fresh and delicious. I didn’t totally care for the mignonette but I’m super picky about that, I don’t hold it against them.This is the first nice restaurant in KC where I’ve seen a legit cacio e pepe, so I had to order it. It exceeded my expectations and I ate every bit of it.My date ordered the filet and green beans. Both were PERFECTLY cooked and the duck confit is to die for with the beans.Cocktails are a blend of traditional and creative; our favorite ended up being the old fashioned.We opted for the goat cheese cheesecake dessert, which was definitely different but good as a more savory finisher.Take a look around the museum after, it’s a great all in one date spot and you will not be disappointed with the quality. We will be back!"
