"I travelled extensively in Yugoslavia before the troubles and loved the people, the country and the food. My wife ate many years ago when she lived in Dusseldorf and said the food was really good. They used to call it the dustbin lid because portion sizes were very large. We went for dinner and I am pleased to report my expectations were exceeded. The menu was groaning with Balkan delicacies. After delicious starters my wife had the grilled liver which was immense and I tried the plescavica (excuse the spelling) which was superb and I was pleased to find that ajvar was availbale. We sat outside and the place was crowded. Service was immaculate and the atmosphere superb. We finished with a couple of good slivovices (again excuse spelling) and the bill was most reasonable. We have a few must go to restaurants in this part of Germany and place is most definitely on the list."

"This charming restaurant on the Rhine in the town of Rheindorf is a gem. The food is delicious, the service excellent and the atmosphere charming. A hodgepodge of mismatched tables and chairs in an old house, a piano, a Biergarten, a couple of owners who truly want to please their customers.. how can you go wrong. From German pancakes to the various schnitzel recipes -the menu has something for everyone. The food is reliably great every time."
