"Today, 18:32, hofkneipe in the ludlgasse. we (4 people) had a table reserved for 18:15 and arrived on the grounds of the parking search just around 17 minutes too late. when we asked about our table, we were cut off from the wet (?) what we thought at all to expect a table at this late (it was four tables in the local free.) on my mind that such a lateness could not be so tragic, we received the following answer: "If you don't apologize immediately, you will not be able to leave with me at all!" They don't see us anymore."

"Friendly staff, basic kitchen and grat beer. This place is not the top gastro place, but after climbing to the hill, its nice place to chill for reasonable money. Not like the second cafe which is just on the clif, but w/o friendly staff and with posh atmosphere."

"If you look for some special creations you are defenitely in the right place here. The dishes range from fish to pork (unusual cut for a restaurant: pork neck) with many tasty sides. Most of the products (maybe all of them) are from the local...environment. Service is great as well, very friendly, very relaxed and casual. The wine card is small but fits the dishes. When you want to go there you´ll better book a table in advance because most of the time it was really full."

"Came here for dinner our first night in Linz. Shared a wonderful meat sampler platter with bacon-wrapped sausage, chicken and pork with fries and a cold beer. Plenty for the two of us. Service was good (English menu available) and the traditional garden is lovely!"
