"After a month of eating out in Switzerland and Austria, this was the only sub standard dining experience we had. The food we ordered was all poorly presented and lacked taste. Unlike all other Swiss and Austrian experiences, there is certainly no love in the kitchen of Sonnenlicht. Take for example the schnitzels which were just terrible. For starters, the meat had not been pummled into a thin and broad schnitzel, instead you got a super thick piece of meat. Secondly, the schnitzel had been deep fried and not pan fried as it should be the tell tale sign being that the breadcumb crust coming away from the meat. This is not how Austrians cook a schnitzels and I have my doubts as to whether there are any Austrians in the kitchen of Sonnenlicht. The chips or pomme frittes that accompanied the schnitzel were terrible too, over cooked and tasteless. I could go on about the other orders but I hope you get the picture. To be avoided."

"Behind the main road in the village on the bachstraße this restaurant is really a hidden gem. leo, your host is a charming hospitable who makes everyone special. the menu is varied, both local cuisine and international fayre. leo. also special foods for them. the food is excellent and the portions leave them certainly not want. the atmosphere is great with a mix of native and visitors, cross-table conversations are common, sharing with every experience and making recommendations. the small bar area is excellent for a pre- or after-feed drink and a great evening is usually rounded with a local snap. I would especially recommend the cordon blu and the petersilienkartoffeln. in any case a place to visit for great food, great hospitality and a great atmosphere."

"Wij waren tijdens onze sneeuwvakantie in de buurt en wilden iets kleins eten. We bestelden allebei een soep, en geen drinken erbij Dat vond de ober volgens mij niet leuk, het wachtwoord voor internet werd ook al niet echt spontaan gegeven. De laatste lepel was nog niet doorgeslikt of de kommen werden al weggenomen. De soep op zich was lekker maar de bediening kon héél wat vriendelijker."
