Ambiente The Mohrencafe has existed since 1714. The café/restaurant is past the cake counter. Beautiful ambience, priemeltöpfchen on the tables, cozy sitting areas, a coffee can collection and an already österliche decoration on the window bench invite you to stay. Service All dressed in black, obligatory, but not overwhelmed friendly. Guests were even allowed to stand in the entrance area for a while before they were greeted and offered a table. Food As day offers for the lunch table there were rabbit weaver, duck weaver, Thuringian Bratwurst or Schnitzel. We chose the Thüringer Rostbratwurst with potatoes and sauerkraut (5.90€). The second dish was the calf car with fresh stone chips (brown cap and potatoes (10,90€). The bratwurst went through tastefully, but the calf was visible and almost black on one side burned. The sauce was a finished sauce and the potatoes on both plates were only heated. My better half was right again, that we would have been really better at home now. All right, we don't have the great Bürgeler ceramics. At first we counted the macks on the edge of the plate. I won, it was with me 4 and with my wife only 2 macks, or better said, mistakes in the ceramics. Now for dinner. What do we really think? With me frying potatoes, the nicely shined before fat, partly burned, onions were not there, then the salad, but really like in GDR times, the usual suspects, rasped carrots, white wort and 2 thick slices of cucumbers. My conclusion: I can only say of luck that it wasn't my decision to go to the place. I cannot recommend the Green Gurke with the best will. I get the food served at every good snack bar, maybe not with Bürgeler ceramics, but of quality definitely. There is no service at the snack bar and in the Green Gurke I have not received any of it.
